What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with our longtime client a family-owned company with 110-year deep PNW roots to hire for a General Manager, Poultry. This is a key role on the senior leadership team of one of the most admired leaders in their industry. Some may even call them obsessed with providing the highest quality product courtesy of happy and healthy chickens!
A day in the life: In this role, reporting to the Director of Operations you will oversee four facilities, ensuring they meet company standards in operations, processes, and maintenance. This role involves designing production barns, implementing biosecurity practices, coordinating with vendors and government agencies, and providing analysis to guide management decisions. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal welfare, a strong communicator, and a driven leader.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 10+ years of poultry or other commercial farm production management experience
- Ability to create and comprehend standards processes, especially related to biosecurity and production
- A poultry science background is helpful, not required
- Strong leadership and ability to mentor others
- Detail-oriented and comfortable speaking in front of others
- Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred
Compensation and Benefits: Annual compensation DOE. Generous relocation package if applicable along with company vehicle and three-bedroom home on property.
