Contract HR Generalist

What you should know: Mulberry Talent Partners is proud to partner with a family-owned and operated wholesale beverage distribution company to identify an experienced Contract HR Generalist. The company operates across six states and employs nearly 2,500 team members. During a time of organizational transition, the HR Generalist will support the HR Manager, HR team, and employees with day-to-day HR operations. This full-time, 3–4-month contract role is hybrid, with some days each week onsite in the Vancouver office. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys supporting employees, partnering with managers, and contributing to an organization’s continued growth and change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating onboarding, job changes, and offboarding activities
- Maintain employee records, ensuring timely processing of HR transactions
- Support employee communications and HR documentation requirements
- Ensure workforce data is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company standards.
- Assist managers with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring activities.
- Coordinate pre-employment, onboarding, and new hire processes.
- Post open positions
- Review resume submissions
- Guide Corrective Action
- Support compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with audits
Your qualifications, knowledge, and expertise:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. PHR, SHRM-CP, or progress toward certification preferred
- Three+ years of Human Resources experience in a generalist, specialist, coordinator, administrative, or related capacity
- Experience supporting employees and managers in a multi-site operational environment.
- Experience with HRIS and workforce management systems.
- Working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law,
- and HR administration.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology platforms.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
