Accounting Manager

What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a holding and management company providing key shared services including accounting, human resources, IT and more for multiple affiliate companies in retail grocery, farming and agriculture and food distribution. This is an opportunity to work alongside the executive leadership team including the Chief Administrative Officer and CEO/Owner. You will play a key role in the establishment of the company’s foundation and brand development.
A day in the life:
- Manages staff of two-three and reviews work performed by team members with transactional responsibilities to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statement
- Develops and educates team members; provides regular performance feedback
- Oversees the functioning of the financial systems and sub-ledgers
- Designs accounting practices to support all entities, utilizing remote staff in various functions
- Responsible for managing all close processes
- Prepares financial statements and other management reporting
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 5+ year of accounting experience, 1+ year people management experience
- Public accounting experience highly desired
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Advanced knowledge of and experience in accounting systems (NetSuite and QuickBooks preferred)
- Experience working for multiple companies under a management/shared service model
- Great planning skills with a tactical approach and execution
- Must be service oriented, act with integrity and professionalism, and be able to prioritize in a dynamic environment
Compensation and Benefits: $100,000 – $110,000 annually plus benefits including PTO, healthcare, life and disability benefits, employee discounts and more!
