The Senior Health & Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading health and safety programs across all company sites. In this role you will direct and mentor site Health & Safety managers and specialist fostering professional development. Our client ready and motivated to hire an experienced, relationship-oriented Health & Safety leader who can operate at a strategic and operational level.
A day in the life:
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations across all sites serving as company’s safety SME
- Establish and manage execution of companywide safety policies ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Conduct corporate-level risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance inspections at each site
- Establish and maintain key safety performance indicators (KPIs), reporting trends and insights to executive leadership
- Partners with Director of Environmental regarding industrial hygiene to protect worker health and safety
- Drive employee engagement in safety initiatives and safety committee, ensuring frontline workers understand and commit to safety policies.
- Lead the development of risk assessment tools, hazard identification systems, and corrective action processes.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in safety leadership roles, with at least 3 years managing multi-site manufacturing safety programs.
- Extensive experience in OSHA compliance, incident prevention strategies, and risk management.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a safety team, driving high-performance results. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing multiple employees across multiple sites.
- Expert knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and industry-specific safety regulations
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%.
