What you should know: Mulberry Talent Partners is the exclusive executive search partner to our client headquartered in the Salt Lake, UT area offering best-in-class mechanical, electrical and plumbing services seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources.  Reporting directly to the CEO you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team along with your team supporting 600 employees in the western states.  This role is pivotal in enhancing the company’s culture, driving talent acquisition and retention programs, fostering employee engagement, and providing guidance, direction, and expertise to ensure legal compliance. You will champion teambuilding, training, safety, and diversity initiatives to create a positive workplace; develop reporting methodology to track employee engagement and satisfaction.

A day in the life:

  • Manage all aspects of HR including department budgeting, payroll, benefits, recruiting, on & off boarding, training & performance, and safety with dual focus on employer and employee wellbeing
  • Provide counsel to senior management on sensitive employee relations, compensation, staffing, performance management, and HRIS ensuring HR best practices comply with labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decision-making by working collaboratively with other executives and Operating Company leaders.
  • Evaluate the company’s structure and design to achieve business goals through workforce planning and talent management strategies.
  • Develop and lead effective recruiting strategies that attract and retain world class talent. Support in-house team of technical recruiters.
  • Implement initiatives to facilitate positive engagements that ensure employee physical and mental well-being and support career development to meet productivity goals.
  • Oversee learning and development programs that enhance employee skills, career growth, and leadership development.
  • Review HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a fast paced and high-growth environments including mergers and acquisition. Proficiency supporting decentralized teams in multiple states a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • One or more certifications including SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP required, PMP certification a plus
  • Experience working with field technicians and service repair personnel a plus
  • Ability to execute and deliver results in a dynamic environment balancing technical and business considerations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with executives, employees, and external partners.
  • Ability to make data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes.
  • Willingness to travel 25-30%
