As the organization continues to grow and commercialize distribution to meet increasing market demand, they are seeking a Director of Sales for their Retail Wellness & Pharmacy Channels. Energized by mission-driven work and this leader will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and lead revenue growth across pharmacy, wellness, and mass retail channels, with a focus on expanding distribution, and building strong retail partnerships. This role owns national and regional account strategy while working cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience to ensure successful launches and sustained growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a commercially driven operator who understands how wellness brands win in pharmacy environments, balancing education, compliance, merchandising, and velocity.
How You’ll Lead & Grow the Business:
Retail & Pharmacy Sales Leadership
- Own sales strategy and execution across pharmacy and wellness accounts (e.g., CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aid, regional chains, specialty wellness retailers)
- Lead line reviews, JBP discussions, new item launches, and expansion opportunities
- Drive distribution, velocity, and revenue growth across in-store and online pharmacy channels
Account Management & Growth
- Build and manage senior relationships with buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, trade spend, and placement to maximize profitability and sell-through
- Partner with retailers on launch plans, education, and in-aisle execution
Go-To-Market & Launch Execution
- Collaborate with Marketing on launch timing, messaging, retail media, and shopper programs
- Ensure readiness across supply chain, forecasting, and inventory planning
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Operations on forecasting, fill rates, and retail compliance
- Work with Customer Experience to monitor retail feedback, reviews, and escalations
- Share field and retailer insights to inform product innovation and portfolio strategy
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 8–12+ years of sales leadership experience in wellness, OTC, personal care, or consumer health
- Proven success selling into pharmacy and mass retail
- Strong understanding of retail economics, trade spend, and category management
- Experience launching and scaling brands nationally
- Ability to navigate regulated or clinically adjacent categories preferred
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution mindset
