What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a local automotive dealer in Washington to hire an Interim Payroll Specialist to support the team during a transitional period. This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys jumping in, making an immediate impact, and ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a quick-leaner, and adaptable.
A day in the life:
- Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on time for exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Audit payroll data, timecards, and employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile payroll reports, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefit contributions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Prepare payroll-related reports, reconciliations, and year-end documentation (W-2s, tax filings, audits).
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and payment issues.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 3-5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
- Experience with payroll commission, flat rates, spiff rates highly desired
- Automotive experience preferred
- UKG UltiPro experience preferred
- Must be execution-driven, proactive, organized, and service-minded
Compensation and Benefits: $33-$40/hour. Temporary benefits available including medical, dental, vision and 401k.
