Our client, located in Downtown Portland has an immediate need for a LOA & Benefits Specialist to jump in and support their professional employee base and be a part of a strong and close-knit team.
A day in the life:
- Administer and maintain employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, employee assistance, and other benefits
- Manage and administer leave of absence programs, such as FMLA, ADA, and PTO
- Process enrollments, changes, terminations, and claims for the benefits programs
- Perform benefits audits and reconciliations and ensure accuracy of data and payments Coordinate and assist with benefits orientations, open enrollment, and wellness events
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 2+ years of benefits administration and leave of absence experience required
- Extensive knowledge of employee health benefits and applicable laws
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
- Strong MS Office skills

Multi-state engineering company with 380 employees. This role will report to the Director of Benefits and Compensation and serve on a dedicated team of HR professionals.
Compensation: $35 – $38 per hour
