What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a fast-growing commercial & industrial cleaning services company that operates throughout the western United States. They are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources who will bring their experience building and improving HR frameworks. Reporting to the CEO, you will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact serving as a key member of the leadership team. They are eager and motivated to hire for this critical role on their collaborative management team to best support their growing company.
A day in the life:
- Manage oversee the Human Resources Department, including Employee Relations, Benefits & Compensation, Compliance, Learning & Development, Talent Management & Recruiting, Employee Engagement & Retention.
- Partner with the leadership team to execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive Total Rewards programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 5+ years of human resource management experience, with experience managing multi-state locations preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to achieve results by managing and influencing others
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Thorough knowledge of local, state, regional and national employment-related laws and regulations, including safety related
- Proficiency with and the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint
Compensation and Benefits: $120-$150K in annual compensation plus benefits to include 100% employee paid healthcare, 401k, vacation & holiday pay and more!
