What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with our longtime client a family-owned leading organic, free range and pasture egg producer in the Pacific Northwest for a General Manager, Production. This is a key role on the senior leadership team reporting to the Director of Operations of one of the most admired companies in their industry. Some may even call them obsessed with providing the highest quality product courtesy of happy and healthy chickens! The ideal candidate has a passion for people development, standard operating procedures, effective communication and drive for excellence.
A day in the life:
- Responsible for and oversee production of four facilities across three states, ensuring they meet company standards in operations, processes, and maintenance.
- Weekly production reports to include developing formal report standard and develop actions items.
- Develop, implement and hold employees accountable to SOP’s as outlined by leadership through an approach of mentorship and empowerment.
- Help onsite GM’s develop job descriptions and expectations for key positions such as production mechanic and supervisor.
- Be the primary contact with automation vendors leading the process to automate hen houses.
- Aid in designing production barns, implementing biosecurity practices, coordinating with vendors and government agencies, and providing analysis to guide management decisions.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 10+ years of production or plant leadership in highly regulated industries with focus on people leadership
- Ability to create and comprehend standards processes, especially related to production and risk mitigation
- Experience in food manufacturing and production desired
- Strong advisory style leadership and ability to mentor others
- Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred
Compensation and Benefits: Annual compensation $130-$140K. Generous relocation package if applicable along with company. Medical and Dental insurance to eligible employees and their dependents at a very generous rate.
