Logistics Coordinator

What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a family-owned fourth-generation lumber organization to hire a Logistics Coordinator. In this role you will support daily rail logistics by processing documentation, tracking shipments, resolving delays, managing claims, and providing timely updates to internal teams and customers. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, responsive, and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot in a fast‑paced environment.
A day in the life:
- Review, prepare and process waybills.
- Accrue freight payables on rail transactions for appropriate rail carriers.
- Oversee and address all delayed and late rail shipments.
- Primary lead for internal and external trace requests and general customer service inquiries.
- Process reconsignment and diversion requests.
- Provide weekly summary of pending sales orders.
- Trace private car fleet weekly and escalate concerns of damaged or delayed equipment.
- Handle freight claims and investigation of damaged or vandalized shipments.
- Utilize Docuware for accurate record retention.
- Become cross-trained on other duties within the department to help as needed.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field required
- Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Dedication to internal & external customer service, with excellent communication skills
Compensation and Benefits: $24-26/HR plus access to Mulberry’s employer of record partner.
