What you should know: Mulberry has partnered with a local non-profit organization to hire a Benefits Manager! You will be responsible for all functions of administering and oversight of benefits for the organization and report to the Director of HR. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for service, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
A day in the life:
- Oversee administration of employee benefit plans such as medical, vision, dental, disability, life, wellness and retirement benefits.
- Identify and foster compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing regulations and seeking qualified opinions of proposed legislation.
- Oversee and manage all employee leaves of absence as FMLA (federal) and OFLA (state) mandates.
- Respond to and resolve employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
- Advise leadership in addressing high level issues and escalations that cannot be resolved at the benefits office level.
- Regularly audit plan data to ensure processes and policies are followed.
- Provide financial data to assist in preparing budgetary recommendations and presentation materials.
- Assist in achieving financial objectives by reconciling benefits accounts, analyzing variances, initiating corrective action.
- Contribute to annual benefit renewal process by analyzing and proposing new plan year components.
- Recommend and implement an integrated and comprehensive employee wellness program.
- Maintain and foster relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate services and communications to ensure delivery of high quality benefit services
- Plan and implement annual open enrollment process through administrator training, effective communication, and coordination with sites.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 5-7+ years of benefits administration and benefits management
- Strong communication, analytical skills, and able to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and confidentiality
Compensation and Benefits: $100,000 – $110,000 plus benefits!
