What you should know: Mulberry has partnered a local non-profit organization who are committed to doing things differently in order to make a difference. They have around 750 employees and work to provide jobs to those with disabilities. You will support their HR team and be a primary liaison to their Spanish speaking workforce!
A day in the life:
- Initiates new employee onboarding for core employees by facilitating background checks.
- Completes company’s onboarding process including entering of HR systems, and creation of new employee files.
- Coordinates the completion of I-9 forms for all new or re-hired employees to ensure regulatory compliance. Initiates and monitors E-Verify; coordinates follow up requirements with Human Resources.
- Coordinates New Hire Orientation, including scheduling of new employees, distributing necessary paperwork, acting as a primary point of contact for questions.
- Completes entries into the HRIS, including new hire information, time changes, and department changes.
- Provides administrative office support. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, hiring process, benefits, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR staff or management.
- Maintains the accuracy and security of all HR-related files in accordance with the records retention policy including employee personnel files, and I-9’s.
- Acts as the first point of contact for any visitors.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 1+ year of dynamic HR experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Personable, detail oriented, outgoing, and highly communicative
Compensation and Benefits: $25-$28/HR with access to benefits via Mulberry’s employer of record partner.
