HR Generalist

What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a highly reputable company that is publicly listed and continuing to grow. This role is open due to growth on their team showcasing their interest in ongoing employee development. This is a hands-on role working directly with employees in manufacturing. You will report to the HR Manager and be a part of a four person HR team. You will make an impact and be a part of the dedicated efforts around employee engagement, retention, development and training.
A day in the life:
- Working closely with regional managers offering full cycle recruitment and onboarding for corporate and other non-hourly roles from job posting to offer
- Serve as point of contact for employee questions and concerns proactively addressing employee issues and resolving conflict
- Recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
- Provide guidance and support to supervisors and managers regarding performance management best practices including identifying training needs and organizing learning opportunities
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, and diversity training.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 3+ years of HR generalist experience including employee relations and recruitment, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional HR certification is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is required.
- Strong MS Office and Excel skills are required.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is a must.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS (Paylocity).
- Must have strong conflict resolution skills.
- Must be flexible to work with employees on different shifts and different locations, as needed
- Able to work mainly in Vancouver, WA with some days in Hillsboro and Camas
