What You Should Know:
Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and start up healthcare organization
headquartered in Vancouver, WA as an HR Generalist. In this role you will be the key to success in supporting the HR department’s operations, including effective implementation of systems, policies, and processes related to employee engagement, legal compliance, recordkeeping, employee relations, and more. You will serve as the right-hand to the CPO while being lead on many HR related projects. It is an opportunity that will offer tremendous learning and growth. They offer a mostly remote schedule
working in office one or two days per week.
A Day in the Life:
- Complete new employee onboarding and orientation processes, coordinating with cross- functional departments to deliver an exceptional first day experience, including temporary workers and independent contractors.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, employment-related policies, employee handbook and policies.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and continuing education.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and ensures required state and federal postings are posted at all business locations.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the Chief People Officer.
- Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations at the request of the Chief People Officer.
- Supports the Chief People Officer in drafting and disseminating employment-related policies.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action, if necessary.
Your Areas of Knowledge & Expertise:
- Associate degree required and HR certification preferred
- 3-5 years of HR related experience required or combination of education and experience demonstrating ability to perform duties may also be considered.
- Strong technical and systems aptitude to evaluate and implement change necessary
- Experience in project management related to HR
- Ability to work in start-up, fast-paced setting with constant change offering solutions and ideas while staying on track and organized
