What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a client we have worked with for many years to identify a Marketing & Communications Specialist! This is an exciting and impactful role where you will manage all functions of marketing and communications under the direction of senior leadership. Your expertise will be valuable to support their growing initiatives around community partnership and engagement, internal and external communications and big dose of increased social media presence.
This is the right fit for someone who thrives on building meaningful connections, enjoys rolling up your sleeves to make things happen, and wants to help shape the voice of a company that truly values its people and communities. This position requires frequent travel to the mountain states and is based out of their HQ office in Downtown Portland.
A day in the life:
- Create and manage content strategies for internal and external communication channels (social media, website, newsletters, print, etc.).
- Write and publish thoughtful, engaging, and brand-aligned content that speaks to both frontline and office-based employees.
- Maintain and update company website using WordPress.
- Collaborate with regional marketing committees to ensure messaging is consistent, timely, and well-executed.
- Support company-wide communication efforts with visuals, flyers, and other branded materials.
- Help shape and execute strategies that elevate our voice and values in the communities we serve.
- Assist with planning and execution of company and local events.
- Under direction of the HR leader, lead internship program, from outreach and event coordination to onboarding and intern engagement.
- Build and nurture relationships with universities to establish long-term hiring pipelines and support academic partnerships including guest speaking and campus events.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor tone and style across a wide audience.
- Experience planning or supporting events—corporate, community, or campus-based.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders at once.
- Proficiency with WordPress and common creative digital tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, Microsoft 365).
- Ability to travel up to 40% to company locations, events, and partner sites including both road and air travel. When not traveling, able to work onsite in Downtown Portland.
- Team player with a positive, proactive mindset and a passion for relationship building.
