You bring:
- Strong understanding of not-for-profit GAAP is required with 5 years related experience in a Private Foundation strongly preferred. CPA is a plus.
- Experience evaluating and implementing new financial systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to convey thoughts and ideas to effectively influence at all levels.
Role: The Controller is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the system of financial controls, including general accounting, investment accounting, tax compliance and planning, budgeting, banking, payroll, and benefits. The Controller develops and conducts financial and systems analysis and recommends and enforces relevant policies and procedures conducive to smooth organization operations. Additionally, the Controller works with outside auditors and tax consultants to prepare the annual audit and all federal and state tax returns.Â
