What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a nationally recognized wholesaler who has been in business for over seventy years. They are seeking a hands-on, strategic CFO to lead the financial future of our growing private company. This is more than a numbers role—you’ll shape strategy, build scalable systems, and elevate financial literacy across the business. From treasury and banking relations to pricing strategy, technology enablement, and M&A, you’ll partner with the President and senior leadership team to drive profitable growth and unlock long-term value.
The right leader will thrive in a high-growth, roll-up-your-sleeves environment. You’ll bring big-company rigor with small-to-midsize company agility—building infrastructure while mentoring leaders and teams.
A day in the life:
- Own the financial strategy: lead planning, forecasting, treasury, pricing, and risk management to support growth and profitability.
- Act as a strategic partner: advise the President and executive team on growth, capital allocation, and scaling operations.
- Elevate financial literacy: coach leaders across the organization in budgeting, P&L management, and data-driven decision-making.
- Lead pricing strategy: ensure pricing discipline, margin optimization, and data-backed market positioning.
- Drive technology and analytics: oversee ERP, financial systems, and analytics platforms to enable smarter, faster decisions.
- Manage M&A and integrations: from due diligence to post-merger value creation, ensure smooth transitions and synergy capture.
- Develop talent: build and mentor a high-performing team across finance, IT, analytics, and operations with a culture of servant leadership.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- CPA required; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years progressive finance leadership, ideally with both large-company experience and private-company growth exposure.
- Proven treasury expertise (banking, liquidity, forecasting, negotiations, insurance).
- Strong background in ERP/financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and data governance.
- Experience in pricing strategy, M&A, and scaling infrastructure.
- Excellent communicator who can translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Hands-on leader who mentors, builds capability, and isn’t afraid to dive into the details.
Compensation and Benefits: $230-270K in annual compensation commensurate with experience + up to 40% annual bonus based on EBITDA.
