Billing Analyst

A day in the life:
- Manage and execute a major accounting function within the fiscal department.
- Develop protocols and controls in consultation with the Accounting Manager.
- Monitor metrics and investigate/resolves routine variances.
- Consult with senior staff on non-routine or complex issues.
- Assume responsibility for a specialized accounting function for an individual department or program.
- Record and track program revenue, ensuring data accuracy.
- Manage the reporting cycle to ensure timely generation and distribution of reports.
- Assemble and maintain support and operational materials.
- Provide training and serve as a resource to Agency personnel using the system.
- Perform research, forecasting, planning, analysis, and reporting activities in a support role within the department.
- Accumulate and generate accurate billing data in electronic file report formats for funders and other reporting entities.
- Verify billing records to ensure they meet requirements established by OHA and other funders.
- Reconcile billings with payments received from OHA and others, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Develop a variety of reports, including general and detailed reports around metrics that improve encounter/daily visits.
- Assist in the development of usual and customary charges for services.
- Provide assistance for fiscal audits, accounting projects, and other required audits.
- Manage calls and inquiries on individual billed data, researching queries, and providing answers to management and providers.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration demonstrating and
- 2+ years’ general accounting and/or bookkeeping experience that includes medical records billing, accounts payables, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank account reconciliation.
- Experience in government accounting, behavioral records billing or grant accounting with multiple funding streams preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills highly desired
- Self-starter, detail oriented, adaptable, and organized
Compensation and Benefits: $25-29/HR with access to benefits via Mulberry’s employer of record partner. Background check, drug screen, and credit check will be conducted upon offer.
