Training Manager Manufacturing – SE Portland

Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client in SE Portland to identify an experienced Training Manager for their team. In this newly created position you will lead the design, development, execution, and assessment of employee and supervisor training programs. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in training and development within the manufacturing industry and passionate about making an impact through their work. This is an opportunity to help build a world-class training program with an esteemed Portland-based corporation. Experience within a manufacturing environment is required.

Responsibilities at a glance:

  • Development and management of Training Team resources, including direct reports
  • Responsible for the definition, design, development, presentation and evaluation of employee and supervisor training programs
  • Consult with managers and supervisors through all facets of the recruiting, interviewing and hiring process, while ensuring compliance with company policy and procedure, EEOC, Labor Law and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with HR Team, including the Talent Development leader to develop and implement development focused training plans for individual employees, supervisors, managers and select, potential high performers

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus in Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years’ Human Resources experience, with an emphasis on Learning & Organizational Development and Training
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a manager or supervisor role
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, ATD, CPLP, or related certification preferred
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment required
