Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist – Direct Hire – Portland

Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client in Portland to identify an experienced Payroll Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for the preparation of salaried and hourly payrolls for multiple company locations.

Responsibilities at a glance:

  • Processes multi-state bi-weekly payrolls
  • Conducts appropriate audits to ensure data integrity, including payroll, time & attendance
  • Understands and ensures compliance of payroll taxation, garnishments and other pay and benefits
  • Ensure that all legally required tax filings are prepared and submitted to the appropriate agencies
  • Process payroll deductions for employee contributions to health insurance, pension, 401(k), and other related benefits
  • Help answer general payroll inquiries from employees
  • Audit vacation and sick time accrual
  • Prepare and/or create payroll-related reports as needed

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience administering multi-state payroll
  • Knowledge of and experience with ADP Workforce
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Proven ability to handle demanding situations and tight time deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service
