Human Resources & Payroll Administrator – NE Portland

Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client in NE Portland to identify an experienced Human Resources & Payroll Administrator for a direct hire position. In this combined HR & payroll processing role, you will be responsible for carrying out various programs including compensation and benefit administration, payroll, recruitment, and employee relations.

Responsibilities at a glance:

  • Analyzes, prepares, and inputs payroll data into payroll system for bi-weekly payroll
  • Manage and administer programs including health and dental insurance, 401(k), life insurance, flex spending, and disability
  • Assist employees with interpretation of polices and procedures
  • Responsible for recruitment of open positions and management of applicant tracking system
  • Process PTO & unpaid time requests and commission statements
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for management
  • Conduct new employee orientations
  • Assist with pre-employment background checks and drug screens

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience with benefits administration, payroll processing, and human resources
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related program
  • Well versed in state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and the general public
