Controller – Direct Hire – Newberg Area

Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with a higher educational institution in the Newberg area to identify a Controller for a direct-hire career opportunity. In this senior-level leadership role, you will perform high-level oversight within the Accounting & Administration division.

The role: 

As the Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that internal controls are up to date with industry best practices, preparing and maintaining ledgers, records, and financial statements, generating trend reports, managing department budgets, and ensuring confidentiality and security. As a member of the organization’s leadership team, you will work to build high-functioning teams within the divisions you manage. You will also interface with the organization’s Board of Trustees, providing clear and concise reports for meetings. 

The Ideal Candidate:

Your background includes a Bachelor’s degree in finance or closely related field, CPA Licensing, and 7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role. You bring experience in utilizing principles and best practices related to Finance and Administration, as well as demonstrated proficiency in making high-level financial presentations. You possess a high level of emotional intelligence and a proven commitment to providing superior customer service. MBA and non-profit experience is a plus.
