Benefits Coordinator – Vancouver

Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client in Vancouver to identify a temporary Benefits Coordinator for their team. In this 2-3 month contract role, you will be responsible for supporting the administration of company benefits and interacting with employees at all levels to ensure adequate knowledge and notification of plans and coverage. This position pays $16 – $18 per hour.

Responsibilities at a glance:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff within the organization and assigned business entities
  • Assist in administration of union and non-union benefit programs (medical, dental, HSA, FSA, life, disability, etc.)
  • Provide detailed follow-through and excellent customer service
  • Respond to benefit inquiries with timeliness and accuracy; research Kronos database, materials and resources for required information
  • Inform and educate employees on programs to ensure understanding of program offerings/advantages
  • Assist with Open Enrollment tasks and ongoing enrollments and changes in a timely manner with accuracy
  • Retrieve, compile, and update benefit information in Kronos database
  • Assist Benefits Specialist in preparing/reviewing benefit reports under supervision. (i.e., benefit eligibility, enrollment stats, confirmation statements)
  • Represent the benefit department on the phone and in various meetings, committees and activities
  • Update and maintain Benefits Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Kronos, Employee Self-Service to reflect current benefit policy and corresponding procedures

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a benefits or human resources support role required
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Solid communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong technology skills and ability to learn new programs
