Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client, a tech company, in downtown Portland to identify a Senior Benefits Specialist for their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits and employee relations. To be successful, you must be able to partner with the team in relation to coordination, administration, and communication of employee related services, systems, and events.

The role: 

This is a direct-hire, full time role located in downtown Portland, close to all of the major MAX lines. As the Sr. Benefits Specialist, you will be in charge of administering the company’s benefits programs, managing transactions for employee benefits re-enrollments and changes, lead, plan and implement Open Enrollment, manage 401Ks, and be responsible for the wellness program. It will be your responsibility to organize the reporting and compliance of all health and welfare plans, act as the main contact for plan vendors and employees regarding question resolution, and oversee billing reconciliation alongside the finance team. You will work in collaboration with the rest of the HR to accomplish these tasks and provide the best service possible.

The ideal candidate:

You bring a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, 5+ years of HR and benefits experience, and an understanding of employment law, FMLA, OFLA, and regulatory compliance. You are organized, detail-oriented, excellent at time management, self-directed, and motivated. You thrive in an environment where you can use your problem-solving abilities and develop professional relationships with team members and employees.
