What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with our client, a banking institution with over 100 years in the industry with 17 branches, to hire a Senior Accountant. This position is in Vancouver, WA, and you will report to the Accounting Manager. As a Senior Accountant, you will focus on ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while supporting the preparation of key internal and external reports and audits.
A day in the life:
- Facilitates the preparation and review of financial and regulatory reports for government agencies and the Bank.
- Oversees daily accounting reviews and month-end closing processes, including certifying the Bank’s general ledger accounts for reliability.
- Offers expert guidance and support to colleagues on various accounting activities and questions.
- Manages the maintenance of accounting systems to ensure they align with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Assists with department projects and other assigned tasks.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 3-4 years of relevant work experience
- CPA certification and banking experience preferred
- Proficiency with database queries preferred
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and internal controls
Compensation and Benefits: $75-$85k/YR with healthcare benefits, 401K plan, short term & long-term disability coverage, life insurance, vacation & sick time, educational assistance, and several holidays.
