Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client, a company located in Hubbard, OR to identify a Human Resources Manager. This is a hybrid (after establishing), full-time, direct hire role. The Human Resources Manager supports the COO and has the HR Generalist as a direct report. Candidates with a good attitude and a wide range of HR knowledge will excel in this role.

Your Role:

  • Collaborate with Executive/Management on organization development
  • Work to create a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment and pay-for-performance
  • Identify employee relations practices necessary to maintain an excellent employee-employer relationship
  • Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth
  • Create a recruiting process, interview prospective employees, and train others to perform effective interviews
  • Conduct and oversee recruitment of all level positions. Manage recruiting vendor relationships and costs
  • Manage annual performance evaluation process. Ensure that supervisors are properly trained to perform effective evaluations
  • Partner with supervisors to identify Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed in their respective departments
  • ST – Assist supervisors in creating job descriptions
  • Develop KPIs to monitor HR effectiveness
  • Research benchmarks for industry wages and suggest improvements to pay practices
  • Ensure that the company follows all government HR regulations
  • Provide training for managers to continuously improve skills in management, motivation, communication, and compliance
  • Advise management on disciplinary actions and repercussions. Partner with managers on creating effective disciplinary discussions and ensure that they are properly documented
  • Make suggestions to changes in the employee handbook and execute changes as directed by management
  • Create a Leave of Absence Program
  • Oversee and administer Worker’s Comp claims and leaves
  • Oversee and conduct internal audits of the HR department to ensure compliance and processes are being followed
  • Assess HR Operations resources and processes, ensure SOPs are complete and followed, such as HR Records retention and destruction schedule, what to keep and what to destroy
  • Manage employee communications regarding employee benefits, company statuses, organizational planning, etc.
  • Advise management on whether to term and conduct terminations
  • Complete Unemployment claims and represent the company at unemployment hearings
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll with ADP Workforce Now

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years’ experience in Human Resources
  • HR Certification preferred
  • Multi-state payroll knowledge
  • Must have attention to detail, organization, and high level of responsiveness
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of ADP, Workforce Now, Excel
  • Independent, motivated, & driven self-starter

Compensation Rate: $90,000-$110,000 plus comprehensive employer paid benefits and 401(k) match.
