Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client, a company located in Chandler, AZ to identify a Human Resources Manager. This is an onsite, full-time, direct hire role. The HR Manager will foster a high-performance supportive team culture that exhibits passion, purpose, innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and wellbeing, where talented people grow and thrive. This position includes travel to Mexico twice per month, and Ohio once a month. Total employee population of 250 over three sites. HR Manager will have five direct reports and will report to the Head of HR.

Your Role:

  • Be a strategic HR partner to the General Manager and STC Leadership team.
  • Work in partnership with the General Manager to understand future business objectives and develop HR strategies and solutions that align with global HR strategy to meet such objectives.
  • Lead the HR Team in providing high-quality HR services that meet business objectives.
  • Analyze and draw insights from HR data to inform HR priorities and solutions.
  • Coach and develop the leadership team, providing expert HR guidance on a variety of HR matters. In doing so, advise on compliance and risk management issues, providing an appropriate level of challenge where appropriate.
  • Encourage and actively work with leaders to develop an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes People First, Accountability, Safety, Quality, Customer Focus and Communications.
  • Leads the Talent Acquisition Specialist in partnering with hiring managers to effectively source qualified candidates, creating strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.  Takes a strategic and metric driven approach to building highly effective teams.
  • Partner with the GM in developing strategic workforce talent plans and develop talent management strategies to execute and deliver plans: to include recruitment, succession planning, organizational design, individual and organization development, global mobility, and development of an early careers program e.g., apprenticeship, internships, and graduate program.
  • Ensure that cyclical HR activity (e.g., annual salary review, bonus, PPDR process) is executed effectively and efficiently within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that the business complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and organizational policies and that all ER issues are proactively managed.
  • Liaise regularly with HR Expertise teams (Compensation & Benefit and Talent, Learning & Development) as required to ensure that expertise activity can be effectively delivered and that local needs are considered.
  • To be involved in wider HR projects either relevant to country or more globally, as appropriate, and as directed by the divisional Head of HR.
  • Collaborate with other members of the global HR team including Holding HR as appropriate to align ways of working and share best practice globally.
  • Managing HR environment for business with global revenues of ~ $165m and headcount of 235 across 3-4 sites in US and Nogales, Mexico
  • Reviewing the current HR capability, continuously driving program of process improvements
  • Ensures global controls and standards are developed, communicated, and maintained
  • Reports monthly to GM, and on HR performance & improvement initiatives
  • People – direct reports (5) with a team total of 6
  • Working with operational managers on required caliber and talent in driving sustainable and profitable growth is essential and key to success of the role
  • Partner with SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) Team on Wellbeing

You Bring:

  • 10 years in HR with majority of that time spent in a leading role, preferably in a manufacturing/service organization
  • Business driven growth mindset and ability to connect HR to business projects and priorities
  • Experience of working in an international, matrix organization that can be complex and intricate in both business and HR matters
  • Degree or equivalent post-graduate HR qualification; SPHR or GSPHR preferred
  • Up to date knowledge of appropriate employment legislation and evidence of putting employment law knowledge into practice
  • Ability to operate in a continuously changing and evolving environment
  • Experience in supporting/delivering culture change projects
  • Role will require the job holder to work at both an operational and strategic level

Compensation Rate: $120,000-$140,000 per year, possible annual bonus of up to 20% depending upon performance as well as full benefits, PTO etc.
