Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client, a company located in Milwaukie, OR to identify an HR Generalist to join their team. This is a full-time, direct-hire, 100% onsite role. This is an opportunity to join a wonderful team as their very first HR professional.

Your Role:

Provide HR Expertise and Manage HR Programs

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment and pay equity laws
  • Revise and maintain employee handbook; provide HR policy guidance and interpretations
  • Conduct investigations when employee concerns are brought forth; monitor and advise managers in the performance improvement process, including termination and disciplinary actions
  • Support company Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and initiatives
  • Investigate and administer competitive benefits programs, including managing relationships with providers
  • Manage all HR policies and procedures
  • Administer leave programs
  • Administer worker’s comp program
  • Administer HRIS systems (ADP) and new hire paperwork
  • Enter pay adjustments and time card adjustments in ADP
  • Maintain employee records and databases
  • Implement policies and procedures

People Support

  • Design and implement employee engagement systems and programs
  • Create and manage our Performance Management program including development plans, 1:1s, career paths, and succession planning
  • Be a resource to managers when they need to have performance or development conversations with employees
  • Assist with performance evaluations and employee development
  • Conduct market pay and pay equity studies to guide competitive compensation
  • Perform exit interviews and off-boarding of departing staff

You Bring:

  • Applied knowledge of employment laws, OFLA/FMLA, ERISA, ACA, ADA, Sick Leave, Compensation, PTO, Worker’s Compensation, and similar HR programs
  • Analyze facts and make recommendations to Managers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness or similar, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in Human Resources
  • HR Certification preferred, PHR, SHRM-CP
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to handle a complex variety of tasks simultaneously while maintaining professional composure and positive approach
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate successful problem resolution
  • Must be able to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure to meet shifting deadlines and deliver superior results
  • Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, communication and customer service skills

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000/year
