Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client, a company located in Oregon City, OR to identify an HR Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, temporary, 100% onsite position. This is anticipated to be a 12-month assignment. Work days are onsite in Oregon City with a schedule of Monday-Thursday, 7AM-6PM.

Your Role:

  • Assists with planning, scheduling, marketing, preparation and vendor coordination for all workforce development and planning related events – examples include the learning events for the Leadership Academy and individual County sponsored learning events.
  • Maintains employee learning and development related databases. As the designated eLearning system Super Admin, facilitates all-County training rollouts, uploads custom content and creates curriculums, supports users with system issues; ; leads department level  administrators with user training and system troubleshooting support. For live trainings, acts as registrar for all County sponsored learning and development related events, and maintains records in the Peoplesoft L&D module.
  • Provides direct administrative support to the Manager, Workforce Planning and Development; develops learning event calendar and advertises learning and development events; develops, compiles, and organizes learning and development related materials, in partnership with web team, updates and maintains Intranet sites Tracks, compiles, and presents program and Performance Clackamas related data and measures.
  • Coordinates, communicates and serves as lead facilitator for New Employee Orientation. Assists with moderating virtual training programs on Zoom platform.
  • Provides customer service support for all Workforce Development and Planning programs, including the Leadership Academy and County sponsored learning events on behalf of the Manager, Workforce Planning and Development and Workforce Planning Coordinator; and hosts outside facilitators and organizes learning event facilities and equipment.
  • Researches training events, coordinates Human Resources staff training registrations, processes travel requests, and monitors learning and development budget. In addition, procures materials; processes related accounts payable statements and purchasing card statements in accordance with appropriate budget accounts.
  • Initiates learning and development program-related procurement contracts for materials and presenters; monitors contracts for accuracy and renewal dates.

You Bring:

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of entry-level administrative experience in a human resources, employee benefit and/or leave management, or other third party administrator role
  • Experience with Human Resource Information System (HRIS) or other data base system, to include data creation, maintenance, retrieval and reporting
  • Working knowledge and application of basic research techniques, record-keeping, and mathematical calculations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals, including those experiencing significant life or medical events, anger or confusion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the need for flexibility and teamwork
  • Skill to gather, understand and evaluate information from diverse sources under stressful conditions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:

  • Experience supporting leave of absence administration
  • Experience working in a union environment

Compensation: $21-$25/HR
