Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client, a company located in Tualatin, OR, to identify a Cost Program Manager. This is a full-time, direct hire role that is hybrid a (2-3 days a week IN the office, the other days working from home). Client prefers a candidate that is based in the Tualatin, OR office, although will also consider someone based in Austin, TX. As the Cost Program Manager, you will be responsible for standardization and oversight of global costing procedures.  This individual will need to be nimble with the ability to contribute tactically and strategically.

Your Role:

  • Global inventory analysis, cost accounting and process improvements
  • Champion cost containment and efficient accounting management processes
  • Consistent global reporting and metric tracking
  • Global Excess and Obsolescence calculation and mitigation planning
  • Implement inventory control environment and tracking
  • Global Cycle Count financial reporting
  • Purchase Price Variance and inflation reporting
  • Standardization of manufacturing site labor and overhead productivity reporting
  • Global Warranty standardization
  • Journal entry creation/close activities completed by day 2 of close; Assist in the monthly Income Statement review
  • Responsible for hands on inventory management including costing, cycle, and physical count program
  • Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results.
  • Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are adequately safeguarded and financial results are accurately reported in compliance with established guidelines and directives
  • Assist in the special projects such as SOX compliance
  • Recommends process improvements and works with management and staff to identify cost optimization

You Bring:

  • 10+ years accounting or related work experience
  • B.S or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience
  • CPA, CMA, MBA preferred
  • Knowledgeable of US GAAP
  • Strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision. Able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Anticipate potential problems as they develop and communicate such to Leadership
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, problem-solving skills
  • Strong people skills with the ability motivate cross functional employees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with one or more ERP systems. Oracle preferred
  • Strong computer skills required, including advanced Microsoft Excel

Compensation Rate: $125,000-$140,000 per year plus full benefits and cell phone stipend
