Mulberry Talent Partners has joined with our client, a company located in Clackamas, OR to identify a Corporate HR Manager to join their team. This is a full-time, direct-hire, 100% onsite position. Candidates who have worked in a corporate office and have manufacturing/ distribution industry experience are well-positioned to succeed. Reporting the Vice President of Human Resources, this position will provide direct HR Manager support for employees and leaders.  The day-to-day role will include collaborating with managers, employees, and plant HR leaders to provide general guidance and consultation on a variety of HR matters.  In addition, the person in this role will oversee the administration of the company’s ethics hotline to ensure thorough and timely responses to employee concerns. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated abilities in understanding business strategy and how HR processes align and integrate with the business.

Your Role:

  • Provides guidance on HR policies and implements key HR processes.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the HR compliance and strategy needs.
  • Provides coaching and guidance to Division Business Leaders on HR matters, including performance management.
  • Performs compensation analysis for hourly and salary roles across the Division.
  • Partners with Division Leaders to identify current and future talent needs. Advises hiring managers on selected competencies and interview questions.
  • Partners with the Manager of Talent Acquisition and Development to support talent development initiatives across the Division.
  • Provides management with employee engagement data and analysis. Responsible for understanding the business environment and developing integrated HR solutions to advance organizational objectives.
  • Serves as Division Employee Relations Specialist in providing oversight for the company’s Ethics Reporting system to ensure timely and thorough responses are provided to employee concerns. This may include personally conducting workplace investigations.
  • Serves as the EEO Coordinator for EEO, Vets 100 and Affirmative Actions Plans. This includes the management, creation of these reports and coordinating with both external and internal legal.
  • Maintains contact with professional associations and industries. Keeps current with local and national business trends with particular emphasis on new legal developments relative to the HR field which could affect HR operations.
  • Key contact for Corporate Legal and external Legal resources.
  • Oversees the administration of Portland Operations Grievance Committee.
  • Manages training for Division operations.
  • Travels as needed to facilities across the Division.
  • As this is a generalist position, responsibilities will be varied and changing based on business needs.

You Bring:

  • BA/BS degree in Business or other related major, plus 6 – 10 years in general HR with a heavy focus on employee relations.
  • Ability to pull ad-hoc reports with varying detail from multiple resources.
  • Ability to quickly foster trust of leaders, team members, and employees.
  • Demonstrated expertise in state and federal laws governing the employment relationship.
  • Ability to conduct and guide workplace investigations and to challenge managers and HR Leaders as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated desire to learn and be mentored by more senior HR professionals and business leaders.
  • Ability to work productively in team environment and working to ensure team success.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions.
  • Must be organized, analytical, and driven.
  • Highly self-directed and results oriented.
  • Confirmed high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.

Compensation: $110,000-$125,000 plus quarterly bonus
