Jill Freeman has spent 20+ years on human resources teams for large employers. She’s been involved in the full spectrum of total rewards including health plan design, benefits supplier management, compliance, compensation, and leave programs for JELD-WEN, Les Schwab Tires, and Nike.
Her experience gave her first-hand insight into the value of effective and engaging benefits communication on the overall employee experience. For the past five years, she’s repurposed her benefits background to support a talented creative team generating benefits and compensation communication for a Fortune 500 client. She also works on an HR and benefits consulting team with public and private sector clients.
As a native Midwesterner who grew up in Chicago, she struggles to find good pizza in her adopted town of Portland, OR. Despite repeated heartbreak, she still loves the Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks and has made room in her sports-loving heart for the Trail Blazers and Timbers. She has a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University and a master’s from Indiana Wesleyan. Her creative muse is a 10-year old Shih Tzu, Little Joe, who consults on all projects for high-end treats and belly rubs.
